Read moreThe Logan County Health District (LCHD) is receiving more frequent reports of tick bites as Ohioans are spending more time outdoors during peak times of tick activity. Though some tick species are active throughout the year, the majority of Ohio’s tick activity is reported in the spring, summer and fall. For more information on ticks, tickborne illness in Ohio and how to protect yourself, visit Ohio.Gov/Tick. If a Blacklegged (deer) tick has been attached longer than 36 hours or appears engorged, talk to your healthcare provider about a single dose of doxycycline. Please note that LCHD does not collect ticks from the public for disease testing but can assist in tick identification.

virtually on Tuesday, February 9th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. by connecting through this Zoom

the preliminary findings report, review progress made since the 2018 CHA, identify and prioritize findings
and begin to discuss action items to address the areas of need, risk and concern identified.
