January 19, 2021

The COVID-19 Vaccine Providers in Logan County are preparing for Phase 1B of Ohio’s vaccine rollout that begins the week of January 19, 2021.  Each Vaccine Provider expects to have only a limited supply of the vaccine for the initial distribution to Phase 1B recipients.  Logan County Residents who fall in Phase 1B of the Ohio Department of Health’s (ODH) COVID-19 Vaccine distribution plan who are able to access vaccine are: 

            January 19, 2021:  Ohioans age 80+

            January 25, 2021:  Ohioans age 75+ and those with severe congenital or developmental disorders

            February 1, 2021:  Ohioans age 70+ and employees of K-12 schools that wish to remain or return to in-person or hybrid models

            February 8, 2021:  Ohioans age 65+

Initially, Phase 1B vaccine is in limited supply and is only going to be available for specific critical populations.  Once the vaccine is more widely available, vaccines will be available to all Ohioans.  We urge everyone to be patient during the process. 

Vaccines will be available at several locations throughout Logan County for the populations described above.    

The Logan County Health District:  Logan County Residents eligible for vaccine in Phase 1B are encouraged to use the online waitlist tool available at www.loganhealth.org.  The online waitlist form is the fastest and most preferred method of being added to the waitlist at LCHD.  If you are unable to use the online waitlist tool, you may call (937) 592-9040, Option 6.  Once on the waitlist, LCHD staff will call to schedule an appointment time and provide registration forms.  Appointments are required.   

Mary Rutan Hospital:  Mary Rutan Hospital follows the Ohio Department of Health guidelines in vaccine distribution and will be scheduling appointments for the current phase/included populations.  To be added to the scheduling que, please call (937) 592-8805.  Information on COVID-19 vaccines is also available at www.maryrutan.org and will be updated as changes in vaccine rollout occur. 

Kroger Pharmacy: Customers should visit kroger.com/ohiocovidvaccine or call the Kroger COVID-19 vaccine helpline at 866-211-5320 for the latest information on vaccine availability in the area. This week, Kroger will only be providing vaccines to the current phase/included populations, seniors 80+. All COVID-19 vaccines will require an appointment via kroger.com/ohiocovidvaccine or 866-211-5320.


January 11, 2021

Logan County, OHIO Residents who are age 75+ should visit the LCHD Vaccination Waitlist Registration (https://forms.gle/LXj2xvMEQUbJ4ak47) to complete the online form to be added to the waiting list.  Please ask a close friend or family member for assistance if you do not have internet access.  If you do not have the means available to use the website entry, you must call our new, more direct line (937) 592-9040, Option 6 to be added to the waiting list.  Please note that using the website is the fastest and preferred method of being added to the waiting list.  If you have already called to be added to our waiting list, please do not fill out the online form as it will further delay our processes. 

Due to an overwhelming response, LCHD is asking Logan County Residents who are between age 65 and 75, please wait for further instruction at this time. 

As our vaccination effort continues to unfold, we will keep you informed through the local paper and radio stations, our website and social media pages for those that are currently being vaccinated. Please do not call asking when your group will be vaccinated.

January 5, 2021:

The Logan County Health District is in the process of COVID-19 Vaccination, and is coordinating clinics for the critical groups that are eligible to receive the vaccine in Phase 1A of distribution.  LCHD follows the Ohio Department of Health’s Vaccination Distribution Plan for those that are eligible to receive it at this time.
